Moving Through Change and Embracing the Present

Change, while constant and inevitable, can feel unsettling as it challenges our comfort zones. Embracing change with Mindfulness allows us to approach it with an open heart, recognizing our resistance as a natural reaction to the unknown. By staying present and curious, we can transform fear into a journey of growth and understanding.
In the face of life's inevitable uncertainties, we often seek control. But true peace and stability are found not in knowing the future, but in embracing the present. Let's learn to tune into the now, finding peace and certainty within ourselves.
Did you know the present moment is where life happens?
Thich Nhat Hanh said” If you miss the present moment, you miss your appointment with life.”
Think about this for a moment. The present moment IS where our life is happening and unfolding, yet we are so often rushing ahead, thinking “once this happens I will be happy” or our minds are swirling with planning, worrying, regretting and resisting that we are missing those beautiful moments that are happening right now!
When change and uncertainty visit us, that is when we ground ourselves in the present moment.
We focus on the breath as it moves through us...
We observe our thoughts, rather than engage with them, let them pass through like clouds in the sky
We focus on bodily sensations, notice tension, tightness, softness-
We ask ourselves “what do I know to be true right now, in this moment”
We notice what we feel beneath us, our feet, the earth supporting us, the chair
We tune into our senses, what do you hear, smell, feel, see around you in this moment.
When we develop our capacity to be in the moment fully, with whatever our experience is, without getting lost or overwhelmed by it, we develop the capacity to build resilience, strength and well-being.
This is Mindfulness. We learn to accept what is and gain a new perspective on how to move gracefully through the times of change.
Welcome it all. It all gets to be here. Let it all be felt; this is the present moment.
This is where your life happens
Greet your appointment with life with love and acceptance. “In this moment, all is okay”
