Nature is the Cure

Congratulations!  You want to start a health journey, but boy, can it feel overwhelming!


Everything in small steps!  This week focus on getting outside, even if it is only ten minutes.  Being in nature offers a calming environment that can help reduce stress and anxiety.  Nature stimulates the senses in soothing ways, helping to lower cortisol and improve our mood.  Studies have shown that being in nature can improve our memory, attention and creativity by giving us a break from the constant stimuli in our lives.  Unplug, get outside and try one of these activities for 10 minutes and notice how you feel!


*Walking

*Mindful. breathing outside while sitting or standing in nature

*Birdwatching

*Stargazing

*Journal outside

*Go for a bike ride
